Registered Nurses (RNs) are healthcare professionals responsible for providing patient care, supporting physicians, and promoting health and recovery. They work in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and community healthcare settings.
RNs assess patient health conditions, administer medications, monitor recovery progress, and educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatments.
Assess and monitor patient health conditions and symptoms
Record patient medical histories and vital signs
Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed
Assist doctors during examinations and medical procedures
Operate and monitor medical equipment
Develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health management
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Coordinate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure quality care
Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Passing the NCLEX-RN licensing examination
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Experience
Entry-level positions available for newly licensed nurses
1–3 years of clinical experience preferred for specialized departments
Experience in hospitals, long-term care, or outpatient clinics is an advantage
